The Car Boot Sale

Sam and Leo are best friends. They play together every day.

One Saturday morning, Sam has an idea. "Let's have a car boot sale," she says. "We can sell our old toys and garden things."

"Good idea!" says Leo. They both look at their rooms. Sam finds old teddy bears and toy cars. Leo finds old footballs and garden tools.

On Sunday morning, they put everything in Leo's dad's car. They drive to the park. Many people are already there.

"Hello!" calls Sam. "Come and look at our things!"

At first, nobody comes. Sam feels sad. But Leo smiles and says, "Don't worry. Let's wait."

Soon, a little girl comes. She sees a red toy car. "How much is this?" she asks. "Two pounds," says Sam. The girl is happy. She buys the car!

During the day, they sell more things together. They help each other. When one person is busy, the other one comes to help.

By afternoon, they sell everything! "We got fifteen pounds," says Leo. "We can buy ice cream!"

They run to the shop. They sit in the park and eat ice cream together.

"We make a good team," says Sam. Leo agrees. "Same time next month?" he asks.

Sam laughs. "Same time next month!"
