In this section you will learn how to talk about how you pay in everyday English. We use short sentences to describe our habits. The most common words are 'usually', 'sometimes', 'always' and 'never'.

'Usually' means 'most of the time'. For example: 'I usually pay by card.' This means you pay by card almost every day. 'Sometimes' means 'not always, but often'. For example: 'I sometimes pay in cash.' This means you pay in cash on some days, but not every day. 'Always' means 'every time'. For example: 'I always pay online for my bus ticket.' 'Never' means 'not ever'. For example: 'I never pay with a £50 note.'

In the UK, most people usually pay by card for big things like food, clothes or a train ticket. They sometimes pay in cash for small things like a coffee or a sandwich. Many young people always pay online for things like music, films and bus tickets.

Here are some useful phrases for talking about money and payment:

'How do you usually pay?' — Ask a friend about their habit.
'I usually pay by card.' — The most common answer in the UK.
'I sometimes pay in cash.' — For small things.
'I always pay online.' — For tickets, music, clothes.
'Do you have any change?' — Useful at the till.
'Can I pay by card?' — A polite question in a shop.

التكلم عن الفلوس بالإنجليزي

في الجزء ده هنتعلم إزاي تقول بتدفع إزاي في حياتك اليومية، سواء في المحل أو أونلاين. الفكرة كلها إنك بتوصف عاداتك، يعني إيه اللي بتعمله معظم الوقت أو أحياناً أو أبداً.

الكلمات المهمة: التكرار والعادة

عشان تتكلم عن عاداتك، محتاج أربع كلمات أساسية بتتحط قبل الفعل مباشرة:

usually - معناها "غالباً" أو "معظم الوقت". مثال: I usually pay by card (أنا غالباً بدفع بالكارت). يعني تقريباً كل يوم.
sometimes - معناها "أحياناً". يعني مش كل مرة، بس بتعملها من وقت للتاني. مثال: I sometimes pay in cash (أنا أحياناً بدفع كاش).
always - معناها "دايماً". يعني كل مرة من غير استثناء. مثال: I always pay online for my bus ticket (أنا دايماً بدفع أونلاين لتذكرة الأتوبيس).
never - معناها "أبداً". يعني مش بيعملها خالص. مثال: I never pay with a £50 note (أنا أبداً ما بدفعش بورقة خمسين جنيه).

إزاي تستخدمهم مع فعل pay

كل الكلام عن الدفع بيتركب مع فعل pay (يدفع). ومعاه بنستخدم:

pay by card - يدفع بالكارت
pay in cash - يدفع كاش (فلوس ورقية أو معدنية)
pay online - يدفع أونلاين (على النت)

How do you usually pay? - إزاي بتدفع غالباً؟
Do you have any change? - عندك فكة؟ سؤال مهم لما الكاشير يقولك ادفع بالظبط.
Can I pay by card? - ممكن أدفع بالكارت؟ طلب مهذب لما تكون عايز تتأكد إن الكارت مقبول.

نصيحة للحفظ

الأحسن تحفظ الجُمل كاملة مش الكلمات لوحدها. قول I usually pay by card كأنها قطعة واحدة. كده هتطلع منك بشكل طبيعي لما حد يسألك.

Welcome to the lesson! Today we are going to talk about money. Money is part of everyday life in the UK. We use it in shops, cafés, on the bus and online. In this lesson you will learn the names of different types of money and the most common ways to pay for things.

In the UK, people pay in two main ways: with cash or with a card. Cash means paper money and metal money together. The paper money is called notes (also 'banknotes'). The metal money is called coins. UK notes come in £5, £10, £20 and £50. UK coins come in 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2.

A card is a small plastic card from your bank. You can use it in a shop to pay. Most people in the UK keep their cards and cash in a small bag called a wallet. When you pay with cash and you give the shopkeeper more money than the price, the shopkeeper gives money back. This is your change.

These days, many people also pay online. This means you use your phone or computer to pay on the internet — for example, for a train ticket or a pizza. Look at the words in the table below, then start the practice.

كلمات عن الفلوس وطرق الدفع

النهاردة هنتعلم مجموعة كلمات أساسية عن الفلوس (money) في الإنجليزي. الكلمات دي هتساعدك تتكلم عادي لما تكون في محل، كافيه، أو عايز تشتري حاجة من على النت.

نوعين أساسيين للدفع

في بريطانيا، الناس بتدفع بطريقتين رئيسيتين:

cash (كاش): يعني الفلوس الكاش اللي معاك، ودي ليها شكلين:
notes (نوتس): ورق الفلوس، زي الـ £5 والـ £10 والـ £20 والـ £50
coins (كوينز): الفلوس المعدنية، زي الـ 1p والـ 2p والـ 5p والـ 50p والـ £1 والـ £2
card (كارد): الكارت البلاستيك اللي بيجيلك من البنك، وبتدفع بلمسه على الماكينة. لما حد يسألك "Do you take card?" (بتاخدوا كارت؟) بيقصد يقبلوا الدفع بالكارت ولا لأ.

فين بتحط فلوسك؟

الـ wallet (وولت) هي المحفظة الصغيرة اللي بتحط فيها الـ notes والـ coins والـ cards. في المثال قالوا "His wallet is brown" يعني محفظته لونها بني.

الكلمات التانية المهمة

pay (بيه): فعل يعني "يدفع". بيتقال مثلاً "I pay at the till" (أنا بدفع عند الكاشير). لما عايز تقول بتدفع إزاي، بنستخدم حرف الجر by أو in:
I pay by card (أنا بدفع بالكارت)
I pay in cash (أنا بدفع كاش)
change (تشينج): الفلوس اللي الكاشير بيرجعهالك لما تدفع أكتر من السعر. مثلاً لو الحاجة بـ £3.50 وإنت دفعت £5، الكاشير هيرجعلك £1.50 in change.
online (أونلاين): معناها "عبر الإنترنت". بتتحط بعد الفعل، زي ما في المثال: "I buy my tickets online" (أنا بشتري التذاكر بتاعتي online).

جملة الدرس الأساسية

الجملة النموذجية هي: "I usually pay by card." يعني "أنا عادةً بدفع بالكارت." ممكن تبدل الجزء اللي في خط حسب الموقف:

I usually pay in cash at the market.
I pay online when I order pizza.
I keep my notes and coins in my wallet.
