Speak with diplomatic precision

You are a senior trade negotiator. You are meeting with the other country's delegation to discuss a proposed trade framework. Your aim is to keep the conversation going, to signal flexibility, and to avoid making firm commitments that may later prove costly. Use hedging (/It would appear that/, /one might argue/, /to a certain extent/), vague language (/a sort of/, /broadly speaking/), and rising intonation on key phrases (/I take your point/, /That's interesting/, /Perhaps/). The conversation should last around six to eight turns.
