The Colourful Kite

Ava had a white kite. It was very boring.

One sunny day, Ava took out her paints. She painted the kite red, blue and yellow. Now it was very beautiful.

Ava went to the park. The wind was strong. She ran and ran. The kite went higher and higher.

Then... WHOOSH! The kite flew away!

Ava sat on the grass and cried. "My beautiful kite!" she said.

Suddenly, a small bird flew down. The bird had something in its beak. It was the kite!

But there was something else. A small piece of paper was tied to the kite.

Ava read the paper. It said: "Birds love colours! Thank you!"

Ava smiled. The bird sat on her shoulder. They were friends now.

And Ava made a new kite — an even brighter one.
