Welcome to the Unit 3 Review!

In Unit 3, you studied three important ideas: the present simple tense, common daily verbs, and words for time. This review will help you practice all of them in a fun way.

Present simple We use the present simple for things we do every day. Look at the verb forms:

For questions, use do or does: Do you work? Does he work? For negatives, use don't or doesn't: I don't work. She doesn't work.

Time Use at with clock times: at 8:00, at noon. Use in with parts of the day: in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening. Use at with night: at night.

Writing task: My Day Now you will write five sentences about your daily routine. Use present simple, daily verbs, and time words.

Using capital letters Always start each sentence with a capital letter: She works at 9. End each sentence with a full stop (.).

ملخص الوحدة التالتة

الوحدة التالتة كانت عن المضارع البسيط (present simple)، وده الزمن اللي بنستخدمه عشان نتكلم عن الحاجات اللي بنعملها كل يوم بشكل عادي ومنتظم. تعالوا نراجع بسرعة قبل ما نكتب.

الفعل في المضارع البسيط

مع I, you, we, they الفعل بيفضل زي ما هو من غير إضافات:

I work every day.
They go to school.
We eat breakfast at 7:00.

لكن مع he, she, it لازم نضيف -s أو -es في آخر الفعل:

She works at a hospital.
He goes to school at 8:00.
It starts at noon.

السؤال والنفي

عشان نسأل سؤال في المضارع البسيط، بنستخدم do مع I/you/we/they، وبنستخدم does مع he/she/it. وبعدها الفعل يرجع لـbase form من غير s:

Do you work every day?
Does she work at a hospital?

عشان ننفي، بنحط don't أو doesn't بعد الفاعل:

I don't work on Friday.
She doesn't eat meat.

الأفعال اليومية

اتعلمت كمان مجموعة أفعال مهمة بنستخدمها كل يوم زي:

get up - يَستيقظ
eat - يَأكل
work - يَعمل
go - يَذهب
start - يَبدأ
finish - يَنتَهي
study - يَدرس
sleep - يَنتام

الوقت (time)

مع الساعة بالظبط بنستخدم at: at 8:00, at noon.
مع أجزاء اليوم بنستخدم in: in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening.
بس مع night بنستخدم at مش in: at night.

مهمة الكتابة

دلوقتي المطلوب منك تكتب خمس جمل عن يومك، وتستخدم فيها كل اللي اتعلمته: المضارع البسيط، والأفعال اليومية، وكلمات الوقت. وافتكر دايماً:

ابدأ كل جملة بـ حرف كبير (Capital letter)، مثلاً: She works at 9.
اختم كل جملة بـ نقطة (.) (full stop).

Step 1: Prepare your ideas

Before you write, think about your day. Answer these questions in your head:

What time do you get up?
What do you eat for breakfast?
Where do you go in the morning?
What do you do in the evening?
When do you sleep?

Step 2: Write five sentences

Now write five sentences about your daily routine. Use present simple verbs (get up, eat, work, go, study, sleep) and time words (at 7, in the morning, at night).

Example: I get up at 7. I eat toast for breakfast. I work in the morning. I go home at 5. I sleep at 11 at night.

Step 3: Review your writing

Read your five sentences. Check your work:

Does each sentence start with a capital letter?
Does each sentence end with a full stop (.)?
Did you use -s with he, she, it (for example, She works)?
Did you use at for times and in for parts of the day?
Are all the verbs in present simple?
