Welcome to the Unit 15 Review! This unit is about technology and the present simple. You learned words for things you use every day. You also learned how to talk about your habits.

Here are some common technology words:

Present Simple Review

We use the present simple for habits and facts. Habits are things you do every day. Facts are always true.

Affirmative: With I, you, we, they, use the verb: 'I use my phone.' With he, she, it, add -s or -es: 'She uses a laptop.'

Negative: Use don't or doesn't + verb: 'I don't have a tablet.' 'He doesn't watch videos.'

Questions: Start with Do or Does: 'Do you like this app?' 'Does she use a computer?'

Writing Task: My Technology Day

Write 5 sentences about how you use technology every day. Use the present simple.

Using capital letters and full stops. Start every sentence with a capital letter. End with a full stop. Use a capital letter for 'I'.

الكلمات التكنولوجية الأساسية

دي كلمات هتلاقيها في حياتك اليومية، حاول تستخدمها في جمل من عندك:

  • Phone (موبايل): مثلاً "I have a new phone."
  • Computer (كمبيوتر): "I use a computer at work."
  • Laptop (لاب توب): "She has a small laptop."
  • Screen (شاشة): "The screen is very big."
  • Keyboard (كيبورد): "I type on the keyboard."
  • Email (إيميل): "I send an email."
  • App (تطبيق): "This app is free."
  • Internet (إنترنت): "The internet is fast."
  • Wi-Fi (واي فاي): "The Wi-Fi works here."

الـ Present Simple - القواعد المهمة

1. الجملة المثبتة (Affirmative)

القاعدة بسيطة: مع I, you, we, they بنحط الفعل زي ما هو. لكن مع he, she, it بنضيف -s أو -es في آخر الفعل.

  • "I use my phone every day."
  • "She uses a laptop at work."
  • "He watches videos online."

2. الجملة المنفية (Negative)

بنستخدم don't مع (I, you, we, they) وبنستخدم doesn't مع (he, she, it). وبعدها بنرجع للفعل في صورته الأصلية من غير الـ -s.

  • "I don't have a tablet."
  • "He doesn't watch TV."

3. السؤال (Question)

بنبدأ الجملة بـ Do لو الفاعل (I, you, we, they) وبـ Does لو الفاعل (he, she, it).

  • "Do you like this app?"
  • "Does she use a computer?"

اكتب 5 جمل عن إزاي بتستخدم التكنولوجيا كل يوم باستخدام الـ Present Simple. وركّز على القواعد البسيطة دي:

  • ✅ ابدأ كل جملة بـ capital letter (حرف كبير)
  • ✅ اختم كل جملة بـ full stop (نقطة)
  • ✅ اكتب I بحرف كبير دايماً

PREPARE: gather your ideas.

Before you write, think about your day. Ask yourself:

  • What technology do you use? (phone, computer, TV, tablet, app)
  • When do you use it? (morning, work, evening)
  • Where do you use it? (home, work, café)
  • Why do you use it? (for work, for fun, to talk to friends)

Write 3-5 ideas. For example:

  • I use my phone in the morning.
  • I use a computer at work.
  • I watch TV in the evening.

WRITE: your paragraph.

Now write 5 sentences about how you use technology every day. Use the present simple.

Remember:

  • Start every sentence with a capital letter.
  • End every sentence with a full stop.
  • Use I, you, we, they + verb.
  • Use he, she, it + verb + s.
  • Use technology words from this unit.

REVIEW: check your writing.

Read your writing again. Check these things:

  1. Does every sentence start with a capital letter?
  2. Does every sentence end with a full stop?
  3. Did you write 5 sentences?
