The Story
Lucy and her dad walk to the river on a sunny morning. Dad has a little wooden boat in his hands.
"Look, Lucy," he says. "We can put the boat in the water."
Lucy watches the boat float down the river. It moves slowly with the water.
"Can we see the fish?" Lucy asks.
"Yes! Look in the water," Dad says.
Lucy looks down. She can see little fish swimming under the boat. The fish are silver and orange. They swim fast and then slow.
The little boat floats past the trees and the flowers. Lucy runs along the river bank. She wants to keep watching the boat.
At the end of the river, the water is slow. Dad picks up the little boat.
"Time to go home," he says.
Lucy holds Dad's hand. She is happy. Tomorrow, they can come back and float the boat again.
Translation
لوسي وأبوها يمشيان إلى النهر في صباح مشمس. أبواها يحمل قارباً خشبياً صغيراً في يده.
"انظري، لوسى"، يقول. "يمكننا وضع القارب في الماء."
لوسي تشاهد القارب يطفو في النهر. يتحرك ببطء مع الماء.
"هل يمكننا رؤية السمك؟" تسأل لوسى.
"نعم! انظري في الماء"، يقول الأب.
لوسي تنظر إلى الأسفل. يمكنها رؤية سمك صغير يسبح تحت القارب. السمك فضي وبرتقالي. يسبح بسرعة ثم ببطء.
القارب الصغير يطفو بجانب الأشجار والزهور. لوسى تركض على طول ضفة النهر. تريد أن تستمر في مراقبة القارب.
في نهاية النهر، الماء بطيء. الأب يلتقط القارب الصغير.
"حان وقت العودة إلى البيت"، يقول.
لوسي تمسك يد أبيها. إنها سعيدة. غداً، يمكنهم العودة وإطلاق القارب مرة أخرى.
