The Story
Today is a sunny day. Tom takes a tiny sandwich to the park. He sits on the green grass. He opens his bag.
Then a small squirrel comes close. It looks at the sandwich. It has big brown eyes.
"Is this your sandwich?" Tom asks. The squirrel does not answer. It takes the tiny sandwich in its paws!
Tom is surprised, but he is not angry. He says, "Take it, little friend."
The squirrel eats the bread. Tom smiles. He has an apple in his bag. He eats the apple. They sit together under the tree.
The squirrel is happy. Tom is happy too. Now they are friends.
Translation
اليوم يوم مشمس. توم يأخذ شطيرة صغيرة إلى الحديقة. يجلس على العشب الأخضر. يفتح حقيبته.
ثم تأتي سنجاب صغيرة وتقترب. تنظر إلى الشطيرة. لها عيون بنية كبيرة.
"هل هذه شطيرتك؟" يسأل توم. السنجاب لا تجيب. تأخذ الشطيرة الصغيرة بمخالبها!
توم مندهش، لكنه ليس غاضبًا. يقول: "خذيها، يا صديقتي الصغيرة."
