The Musical Picnic

It was summer. Maya sat in the sunshine. Her friends came to the picnic. Tom brought delicious sandwiches. Anna brought fresh fruit. Maya brought her old wooden recorder.

After they ate, Maya played her recorder. The music was beautiful. Tom clapped his hands. Anna tapped a spoon on a plate. "That sounds great!" she said.

"Let's make more music!" said Tom. He found an old pot on the grass. Anna took another spoon. Maya played her recorder again. Tom hit the pot. Anna hit her plate. The sound was very loud and very funny. Everyone laughed.

"We are a real band!" said Tom. He put on a big hat. Anna put fruit on her head. They played and played. More children came to watch. Then they started to clap and dance.

After twenty minutes, they were tired. They sat on the grass and drank juice.

"That was the best picnic ever," said Maya.

"We are a great band!" said Tom. Anna smiled. "Let's do it again next Saturday!"
