Now you know the school subject words. In this section, you will use them in short sentences. These are simple, useful phrases for talking about your school.

When you tell someone what you study, you can say: I study math. When you talk about your favorite class, you can say: My favorite subject is art. These are the most common phrases in a school conversation.

To ask another person, you can say: What is your favorite subject? This is a friendly question. Other students will be happy to talk about their classes.

You can also use I like or I don't like with a subject. For example: I like music. I don't like history. This shows your feelings about your classes.

Practice these phrases out loud. Then try the dialogue and the roleplay at the end.

الكلام عن المدرسة في الإنجليزي

الـ section دي بتعلمك إزاي تتكلم عن المواد اللي بتدرسها في المدرسة بالإنجليزي بشكل بسيط وطبيعي. الفكرة إنك تتعلم كام جملة جاهزة هتساعدك تقول رأيك وتسأل صحابك عن المواد المفضلة عندهم.

أهم الجمل اللي هتحتاجها

I study [subject] — معناها "أنا بدرس [مادة]". دي الجملة الأساسية اللي بتقول بيها إيه المواد اللي بتدرسها. مثلاً: I study math and English. أو I study science.
My favorite subject is [subject] — معناها "المادة المفضلة عندي هي [مادة]". بنستخدمها لما حد يسألك إيه أحسن مادة عندك. مثلاً: My favorite subject is art.
What is your favorite subject? — معناها "إيه المادة المفضلة عندك؟" دي سؤال ودود وبتفتح بيه أي موضوع مع زميلك في المدرسة.

ملاحظات جرامر مهمة

في جملة I study، الفعل study بييجي مع ضمير I على طول من غير ما نضيف s في الآخر. القاعدة في الإنجليزي إن الفعل بياخد s بس مع he / she / it، لكن مع I بيفضل زي ما هو.
لما نقول My favorite subject is art، الفعل is بنستخدمه لأن subject (المادة) مفرد. لو كنا بنتكلم عن أكتر من مادة كنا قلنا are، لكن هنا بنتكلم عن مادة واحدة بس.
نقدر نستخدم I like أو I don't like مع أي مادة عشان نوضح إحساسنا. مثلاً: I like music. I don't like history.

تخيل إنك قابلت زميل جديد اسمه Tom في المدرسة. ممكن تبدأ بالسلام وتسأله: Hi Tom! What subjects do you study?، وهو هيجاوبك: I study math, science, English, and art. بعدين تسأله: Oh, nice! What is your favorite subject?، فيقولك: My favorite subject is art. I like to draw. ساعتك تقدر ترد وتقول: Cool! I like music. We have music class on Friday. كده عملت محادثة طبيعية وسهلة عن المدرسة.

School subjects are the classes you take at school. Every day, students go to different classes. Each class has a name. Some subjects are about numbers. Some subjects are about words. Some subjects are about art and music.

In this lesson, you will learn eight common school subjects. They are: math, science, English, art, music, history, PE, and geography. These are the words people use in everyday school talk.

Look at the table below. The first column is the English word. The second column shows the part of speech. Most of these words are nouns because they are the names of classes. The fourth column shows an example sentence you can use right away.

Read each example sentence out loud. Pay attention to the sounds. Some words are short like art. Some are longer like geography. Practice saying them slowly, then faster.

المواد الدراسية بالإنجليزي

في الدرس ده هنتعلم أسماء المواد اللي بتدرسها في المدرسة. لو عايز تحكي لصاحبك الأجنبي عن يومك في المدرسة، لازم تعرف تقول المواد دي كلها بسهولة.

ملاحظات لغوية مهمة

كل الكلمات دي nouns (أسماء)، لأنها أسماء لمواد. معظمها مالهاش جمع وبتنستخدمها مفردة. مثلاً بنقول "I study math" مش جمع.

كلمة PE دي اختصار لـ Physical Education، وبتنطق حرفياً "بي إي". في الحياة اليومية بنقولها كده ونقصد بيها حصة الرياضة.

لاحظ إن كلمة English بنكتبها بحرف كبير E في الأول، عشان هي اسم اللغة. ما تنساش النقطة دي.

نصيحة للحفظ

لما تتكلم عن يومك في المدرسة، ابدأ جملتك بـ "I study" أو "I have" وبعدين حط اسم المادة. مثلاً: "I study science and art on Tuesday."
