The Story
Tom makes a paper kite. He uses paper, sticks and string. The kite is red and blue.
Tom walks to the park. The wind is strong today. He throws the kite up. The kite flies high in the sky.
Oh no! A big wind blows. The kite flies away. Tom runs after it.
Tom runs to the hill. He sees his kite in a tree. A little bird is on the tree. The bird sees Tom.
"Hello," says the bird. "I see your kite."
"Please help me," says Tom. "Can you get my kite?"
The bird flies up. The bird takes the string in its beak. The kite comes down.
"Thank you!" says Tom. "You are a good friend."
"You are welcome," says the bird.
Tom walks home. He holds the kite tight. He does not let it go.
