The Story
One night, Hazel the hedgehog goes out to find food in the big garden. The garden is dark. All the flowers look the same. Hazel walks and walks. Now he is lost. "Where is my home?" he says.
Then he sees a white rabbit. "Hello," says the rabbit. "Are you lost?" "Yes," says Hazel. "I cannot find my burrow." "Come with me," says the rabbit. "Follow the moonlit path."
Hazel follows the rabbit through the garden. The moon shines bright. Soon, Hazel sees his cosy burrow under the old tree. "Thank you, rabbit!" he says. "You are welcome," says the rabbit. "Now you are safe." Hazel is very happy.

في ليلة من الليالي، يخرج هازيل القنفذ للبحث عن طعام في الحديقة الكبيرة. الحديقة مظلمة. كل الزهور تبدو متشابهة. هازيل يمشي ويمشي. الآن هو تائه. «أين بيتي؟» يقول. ثم يرى أرنباً أبيض. «مرحباً» يقول الأرنب. «هل أنت تائه؟» «نعم» يقول هازيل. «لا أستطيع أن أجد جحرتي». «تعال معي» يقول الأرنب. «اتبع الطريق المضيء بالقمر». يتبع هازيل الأرنب عبر الحديقة. القمر يتألق بإشراق. قريباً، يرى هازيل جحره الدافئ تحت الشجرة القديمة. «شكراً لك يا أرنب!» يقول. «على الرحب والسعة» يقول الأرنب. «الآن أنت في أمان». هازيل سعيد جداً.
