القصة

The Hedgehog at the Door

One sunny morning, Mia looked out of the kitchen window. In the garden, near the flower pots, she saw a small, brown shape. She ran outside to look more closely. "What is that?" she asked.

It was a hedgehog! Its back was covered with spikes and its nose was pink. Mia was very curious. She ran inside and called her mum. "Mum, there is a hedgehog in the garden!" Her mum smiled and said, "We can help it. Put a shallow dish of water near the hedgehog and a little bit of cat food." Mia did that quickly. She also made a soft pile of leaves for the hedgehog to hide in.

Every day after school, Mia watched the hedgehog eat and drink. She learned to stay quiet so the hedgehog did not get scared. She gave it fresh water and a few bits of food. She named it Harry. Harry seemed happy in the garden.

After a week, Harry went away into the bushes. Mia felt sad but also proud. She learned how to care for a small animal. She hoped that one day Harry would come back to visit her garden.
